Mike Mandel is a psychotherapist, stage performer, martial artist, writer, and certified Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) trainer. Mike is certified in several psychotherapeutic disciplines and teaches advanced Ericksonian hypnosis both online and live. He has garnered 18 nominations and six awards for his excellence in entertainment, including the COCA Hall of Fame Award, an accolade both Sarah McLaughlin and Jim Carrey previously won. Mike joins me in today’s episode to discuss the power of hypnosis. He shares how he became interested in the art and science of hypnosis and describes his first hypnosis session. He illustrates how hypnosis addressed his problems with sleep paralysis and explains how metaphors and storytelling are used in hypnosis. He reveals the way television is designed to be hypnotic and describes the causes of anxiety and depression. He also defines the Mandelian Triangle as well as highlights how hypnosis can be used for healing and empowerment.
